Mailchimp Integration

The Mailchimp integration allows you to automate audience management and campaign execution.

How to get credentials

You will need a Mailchimp API Key.

1. Log in to your Mailchimp account.
2. Click your profile icon and select Profile.
3. Click the Extras dropdown menu and choose API keys.
4. Click Create A Key.
5. Give the key a descriptive label and copy the resulting string (it usually ends with a dash and a data center region, e.g., -us14).
6. In Nodes2Cloud, create a new Mailchimp credential and paste this API key. The node will automatically extract your data center region.

Available Actions

1. Audience (List) Management

• Add List Member: Subscribes a new contact to a specific Audience List.
• Remove List Member: Archives or permanently deletes a member from an Audience List.

Required Fields:

• List ID: The unique ID of the Mailchimp audience. You can find this in Mailchimp under Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults.
• Email Address: The contact's email.
• Status: (For Adding) Usually subscribed or pending (requires double opt-in).

2. Campaigns

• Send Campaign: Immediately sends an existing draft campaign.

Required Fields:

• Campaign ID: The unique ID of the campaign you wish to send.

Common Troubleshooting

• 400 Bad Request on Add Member: This often happens if the contact is already subscribed to the list, or if you provided an invalid email address.
• Data Center mismatch: If API calls are failing globally, ensure your API key includes the correct data center suffix (e.g., -us6). Nodes2Cloud relies on this suffix to route the API request to the correct Mailchimp server.
